Progress update on Godley Green Garden Village
A series of survey and investigation works will be taking place across the Godley Green site over the coming months to support the ongoing design and development process.
Supplementary ground investigation and archaeological trial trenching are scheduled to begin w/c 21st September and will take approximately three weeks to complete.
These works will be focused in the eastern part of the site and will include the drilling of boreholes and excavation of trial pits to help better understand ground conditions and assess whether any buried archaeological remains are present. All trenches and boreholes will be carefully backfilled following completion.
In addition, a range of ecological surveys are planned over the coming months, including surveys for protected species such as badgers and bats. These surveys will help ensure that any future development is carried out in a way that protects local wildlife and habitats.
All of these activities are a normal and important part of the development process and will help ensure the site is carefully understood and responsibly progressed.
