In 2019, the Godley Green project was awarded £10 million of Housing Infrastructure Funding to provide critical early infrastructure that will help to unlock the site for development.
The £10m secured for Godley Green through the Government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund Programme is an endorsement of the vision set out by the Council that will enable the critical infrastructure required to open up the Godley Green site for development.
Godley Green is viewed as one of the key priorities for Homes England across the Greater Manchester and North West region. The Council continues to work in partnership across Homes England’s departments to support the delivery of the infrastructure and promote the economic growth opportunities that can be realised from the Godley Green development.
